How Transdermal Electrolysis Works  

Instead of inserting a needle into the hair follicle, with the TE System a tweezer or a cotton  probe is used with a specially formulated ionized gel to transmit galvanic current into the hair follicle while gliding over the skin. When the current comes in contact with the water and salt that is naturally found in the hair follicle, thus achieving permanent hair removal.

Hair growth or excessive hair growth can be attribute to various causes. Heredity, stress, hormonal changes, birth control pills, and some medications. Additionally, there can be as many as 500 to 1,000 hair follicles per square inch, each capable of producing a hair. Since not all follicles are active in the same time, only a small percentage will be visible at any given time and only visible hair can be treated. For this reason, no one can accurately predict hair re-growth patterns. 

During the procedure, the skin may become pink for a short period of time , however, there is no swelling, pitting or scarring plus on risk of infection. Make-up can be applied immediately following the treatment.
